*I am an archivist, a media collector, or a data hoarder, whatever you'd call it. I scrape things i'm afraid will be lost, youtube channels, old websites, anything i remotely like, i find i have to preserve them or they will vanish. I also collect physical media, i thought i was a dying breed of person that valued possession, but i'm very happy to have seen a ressurgence these past couple years. Mainly I collect DVDs, but also vhs, betamax, and Blu-ray as of this year 2025.* ______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Today's a slow day to archive, I've been grabbing TikTok videos in massive amounts, even though i have such mixed feelings at the platform. I'm kinda happy it's going away, I remember when it was still Musical.ly, a platform for dancing video edits, and back then i hated it passionately. Now it's so much more, it became a gathering place for content outside youtube, it showed me there were hundreds like me, with my same weird interests that i learned weren't so weird. Planning to hit the thrift shop today for a new movie or show, hoping i find something good.

Update, i did, an old microsoft keyboard, a targus "optic" mouse(still sealed in og package), and some wall plug adapters for all my tech from overseas.
